Manila Jockey Club, Inc. (MJC) was incorporated on March 22, 1937 and was granted a 25-year congressional franchise on November 23, 1997 to operate and maintain a racetrack and conduct horse races. The Company is also engaged in the development and sale of condominium units and residential properties, and the lease of an office building through joint venture agreements with property developers.
Following the cessation of horseracing operations in 2022, the Company continued to strengthen its real estate operations as its primary business pillar. MJC owns a 77-hectare prime property in Carmona, Cavite, known as the San Lazaro Leisure and Business Park, and a 16-hectare property in Sta. Cruz, Manila, known as the San Lazaro Tourism and Business Park, which has evolved from a former racetrack into a full-scale township development. The Company is focusing on maximizing the value and development potential of its real estate assets through prudent property management, strategic leasing initiatives, and long-term development planning.
