Leading the surge was Metro Alliance Holdings & Equities Corp. B shares (MAHB), which skyrocketed by 21.43%. The stock closed at 0.85, marking a 0.15 change from its previous close of 0.70. A relatively low volume of 8,000 shares traded hands, generating a total value of 5,270.00. This notable jump follows recent speculative interest surrounding the company's potential strategic realignments.

Property developer D.M. Wenceslao & Associates, Incorporated (DMW) also posted impressive gains, climbing 15.80% to settle at 5.79. Optimism around the property sector and ongoing development projects in their Aseana City estate likely fueled investor confidence.

Other notable gainers included Cirtek Holdings Philippines Corporation (TECH), up 6.67% to 1.12, with 5,717,000 shares worth 6,261,300.00. Harbor Star Shipping Services, Inc. (TUGS) moved up 6.54% to 1.14. ABS-CBN Corporation (ABS) also registered a 5.76% gain, closing at 3.67, trading 1,643,000 shares for 6,025,990.00. This could reflect investor sentiment buoyed by its ongoing pivot to digital platforms and content partnerships.

Significant Losers Emerge

Semirara Mining and Power Corporation (SCC), a key player in the energy and mining sector, dipped by 3.90%, closing at 19.22.
